The middle pic was an 11lb fish taken from the tail of the Boil after lunch and the pic above is another 11lb beauty from the tail of the Plain Tree. (i hope i got that right this time!!!!!)

Mr Bruce Hay caught this cracker of a 15lb Spring Salmon today from the Cotter. It is Bruce's first ever Salmon and he caught it on an 11cm Devil's Own lure by Shakespeare. Outstanding Bruce, well done.

Mr Ryan Rutherford who is a Ghillie on the Ness-Side beat on the River Ness fished on Newtyle today for the first time and caught his first ever Tay Springer. Ryan caught his fish on the fly from the neck of the Trap. Great work Ryan.

17lb Tay Salmon

This fish was caught from the Steps Pool on an upstream flying C. I was fishing with Calum McRoberts today and it was nice to give him a taste of his own medicine for a change!! We had a plethora of Kelts today and there were a good few fish splashing about. The water temperature is up today and there were Trout rising steadily this afternoon indicating a good hatch. Lets hope a few of the fish in the lower river start heading this way.
