Water Gauge 3ft 2" Today At Lunchtime 27/1/10

The water rose steadily all day today starting off at 2ft 1" this morning and by the time we left it was pushing 4ft 6" and really coloured.
Lets hope it settles and clears a bit for tomorrow.

Scott MacKenzie at Dunkeld House River Tay



Dunkeld House Fishing are very pleased to announce that Scott Mackenzie, creator of the DTX fly rod range, will be holding a casting course in March 11th - 14th (thursday evening through to sunday morning).

The course is limited to 12 people, staying at the Dunkeld Hilton, fishing/casting on the Dunkeld House beat with Scott MacKenzie.

Once you have mastered your single/double/cirlcle spey casts under Scott's instruction, Dunkeld House beat is available to each of the 12 students to fish on, with the beat ghillies and boats if required.

16lb Springer Landed On The Fly 23/1/10

Here's Mr Peter Meek with his 16lb springer caught on the fly from the bank in the Cotter today. Peter estimated the fish at around the 16lb mark before safely returning the fish to the water. Very well done Peter and thanks for the photo.

Springer Landed Today On The Fly 20/1/10

Here's Mr Rory Campbell's 7lb Tay Springer landed today on the fly fron the tail of the Boil. Rory was using his new skagit line with a type 6 tip and an Eternal Optimist Varient 2" copper tube fly. Very well done Rory.
