10lb Tay Salmon
My old Dad caught this 10lb sea liced fish from the Cotter this morning after Mr Gavin Long landed a fly caught 16lb sea licer from St Mary's. Dad's fish is Newtyle's 130th fish of the season so far, and puts us 100% up on the total to the end of June last year..Well done old timer!

Mr Chris Provan landed this fly caught 9lb salmon from the Trap this evening and Mr Paul Goldsmith also landed an 8lb sea liced fish from the Steps

14lb Tay Salmon
Mr Roger Worth from Chesire took up Salmon fishing last week and landed this fly caught 14lb cracker from the Boil this morning...Outstanding work Roger.
Mr John Sadler lost a fish on the fly from the Boil and we had a 2lb Grilse on the fly and lost a good fish, both in the Steps.

Mr Brian Knight landed his 1st ever Salmon on Monday evening in the Ferry pool, he lost 3 before finally landing this 5lb Grilse.. Well done Brian

Mr David Cargill landed this 9lb fly caught fish from the Steps on Monday morning and the usually reliable Mr Allan Rennie had a Teflon day and managed to drop 3 fish, 2 on the fly and 1 on a Toby. Butter luck next time Al.....

On Friday of last week Mr George Slater landed this 6lb fly caught fish from the Cotter
On Thursday Mr Brian Allison landed a 10lb fish in the Trap, and on Saturday Rory Campbell landed a 4lb Grilse on the fly, again from the Cotter.

Mr Ian Hendry landed this fish on the fly from St Mary's this morning, the fish had lost a lot of scales from both flanks and was sealiced. Mr Stuart Campbell lost a fish from the same pool later in the day

4, 6 & 10lb Tay Salmon
Mr Andy Kerr landed his 2nd fish of the morning 10 mins after the 1st, also from the Cotter. Andy also lost a good fish in the Steps later in the day.
Mr Damian Gunn also landed a 4lb fish from the Cotter on the fly and lost another shortly after.
Mr Ross Drummond landed a sea liced 6lb fish from the Boil in the morning 2 mins after losing a fish.

Mr Richard Lee landed this fly caught this pair of sealiced fish from the Cotter on Tuesday morning on his first trip to Newtyle.He also lost a fish in the St Mary's stream in the afternoon. 15lb Tay Salmon and 100 for the season so far
Mr Anthony Wright landed this 15lb spanker from the Ferry Pool this afternoon and has won himself a packet of biscuits!!! This is the 100th fish we have landed on Newtyle this year. The 100th fish took till the 30th of August to be caught last year. A full 3 months earlier this time!

Mrs Fiona Guest landed her first ever Tay Salmon, a 10lb sea liced fish in the tail of the Cotter this afternoon, she also lost a fish later on, and while this photo was being taken Mr George Lawrence landed a 6lb fly caught sea liced fish in the Cotter stream. He also lost a fish around half 5

11lb Tay Salmon
This 11lb fish was caught in the Cotter just before lunch on Saturday afternoon. We also lost 2 fish on Satuirday morning.
The total for the Spring caught fish this year was 94 which is nearly double the 49 we had last year. We also lost 42 fish in May, add that to the 30 we lost in April and we have a total of 166 fish hooked...
