16lb Tay Salmon

David Cronshaw from Moniaive nr Dumfries, caught this Spring beauty fly fishing the Cotter on Saturday afternoon. His fish was taken on a red conehead Cronart fly.
A good fish was lost on a Payo 110 in the Ferry Pool in the morning.

The Cronart fly was invented by David and his fishing associate also called David while living near the highlands and fishing the Findhorn. The Cronart fly had 65 fish between the two men in 2012 and over 30 in 2013 and has been successful in Scotland on the Tay, Tweed, Dee, Spey, Findhorn, Lochy and on the Ribble (Lancashire).
