Mr Duncan Goldsmith caught this stunning sea liced Spring Salmon from the Steps Pool this morning. Duncan was fishing Newtyle for the first time since his last visit 5 years ago. His fishing partner AAPGI Instructor Darren lewis landed the fish which was safely returned to carry on his journey upstream. The fish was caught on a 1" alloy tube, silver body with black and yellow hair wing. Good work Gents.

4 Spring Salmon from Newtyle today 17lb, 15lb & 6lb caught by Mr Calum McRoberts on a weighted Devon Minnow The 15lb fish was caught in the Trap and the other 2 fish were from the Deans Burn. I also had a 12lb fish from the neck of the Trap on an upstream flying C and lost a fish in the boil on a 28g silver toby.
